HiGem’s successful debut at Web Summit 2024: forging global connections for the future of sustainable tourism

Last week at Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon was an incredible milestone for HiGem. We proudly launched the first version of our AI-powered platform just ahead of the event, and were overwhelmed by the positive feedback from visitors, partners, and attendees. The enthusiasm and encouragement we received reaffirmed that our vision is on the right path.

Throughout the summit, it was clear that AI is being embraced globally as a key driver of transformation, with many countries and organisations highlighting its potential in advancing local tourism development and sustainability.

We were honoured to engage in conversations with representatives from Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Georgia, Hong Kong, Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Malta, Dubai, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and many others eager to explore potential collaborations with HiGem.

These discussions extended beyond tourism development to include investment programmes, ecosystem partnerships, and collaborative opportunities with organisations such as the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), as well as the Eureka Network.

We are excited to continue this journey, fostering partnerships and contributing to the global transformation towards sustainable, inclusive, and data-driven tourism ecosystems.
